We're both retired (Doug from USAF and McDonnell Douglas/Boeing [Logistics Analyst] and Pat from 15 years in day care). We usually travel during all seasons except the months of June - August. We love to garden and take adventures, rather than vacations. We do missionary work in the former Soviet Bloc with orphans and special needs kids. About: Gavin & I will be leaving dad & 3 year old twin brothers at home for this holiday. Dad could not take off time from work & Gaivn really wanted to go to South America & Antarctica. Gavin loves all kinds of animals but mostly ocean mammals. He is very hopeful to see dusk dolphins, Commersons dolphins, killer whales, right whales (doubtful), penguins, sea lions, etc-- he knows he might see few or lots......Didn't plan this trip until ~1 month ago & had never even thought about going prior to then. Lots of planning over the past few weeks & luck has been on our side (along with new friends from CC) and planning has gone smoothly to date. Hopefully it will continue.
