About: Dkkai - aka - David and Kelly Bowers.
David and I are in our early fifties, we both originate from Las Vegas, Nevada. Currently we call Northern Virginia home. David spent 20 plus years serving in the U. S. Navy, I spent 20 plus years following along with our three daughters. During David’s naval career we had the opportunity to live in Texas, Alaska, Hawaii, California, Florida and Japan. While in Japan (12 years) we traveled all over Asia loving every minute. David works in the defense industry supporting naval weapon systems and teaches a few university classes for fun. I teach school, and spend my extra time planning how to retire, until then we have found that cruising is always a welcome vacation. We have recently developed a new hobby. We are learning to dance. Presently we are crummy dancers but we hope to change that someday:)

About: Norita retired as secretary/admin assistant at our church, and for the last nine years has volunteered as a reading tutor in 3rd grade public schools. She’s a reader of biographies and a Sandra Day O’Connor fan. Maggie, our collie, is AKC registered as a therapy dog and Norita takes her to visit several retirement and assisted living communities twice a month. Jim retired from computer management and project management, beginning with IBM in 1966, and still does occasional consulting. Jim holds a commercial pilot’s license and is a CFI. He’s also a professional musician, playing trombone with numerous groups in southern Arizona, big bands, dance groups, semiclassical, jazz and Dixieland, and played with a cruise ship band. They owned and managed a horse boarding stable for some time and enjoyed riding their horses through forest trails in western Washington. Quite a bit of fine furniture (and occasional toys) come out of Jim’s shop. Jim is a student of wartime history; the more he reads, the less he knows for sure.

About: Jim reads a lot of history with considerable focus on the ancient world of the Mediterranean, cruised these same waters from the bridge of a destroyer in the 1970's and is anxious to return.
Brenda is very enthusiastic about the trip. Her interests include dance, music, gardening and hand work, like knitting and crochet.

About: My mom is a hospice social worker, and I am a disability rights attorney for an advocacy group. My mom is semi-retired, giving her some extra time to do her favorite thing - travel! She and I try to get away at least once a year for a trip together, and our trips (happily) seem to be getting much more frequent :-). We just got back this summer from a trip to Cancun, and have our next trip planned for Cozumel in June. We used to own a restaurant, and we still love to cook (and eat :-) in our spare time. This is my first European adventure, and we are both VERY excited. Going to Egypt in particular has been a long time dream for both of us, so we are so excited about the wonderful tour Jolly G put together. We are looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great time on the Cruise!!

About: Jim and I are brother and sister in law. We lost our spouses and my sister last year. This is a trip that the four of us planned to take, but sadly, things happen to change that.
We are looking for tours in each port, because we don't want to miss anything. This will probably be the only Med. trip we take, so we are excited about seeing all the historic sights. Jim retired this year after being in the Newspaper business.
He was the Editor and owner of a weekly newspaper. His wife(my sister) was assistant editor. He was in the Navy in WWII and is a Civil War buff. I am a retired teacher but have been called back to substitute for teaching children of all ages in mental hospitals and the county jail. My husband was a high school, college and pro football coach, so we lived in Southern California, Palm Springs, Seattle, Corvallis, Oregon,Salt Lake City, Alamogordo,New Mexico and Calgary Alberta Canada. My hobby is travel. I have been on cruises to the caribbean, Mexican riviera, Hawaii,and Panama area. We stayed extensively in London, Paris, Scotland, Ireland and Mexico.

I love the casino, Paul loves kareoke (and I am very hopeful that there will be those on there who might like to sing kareoke too -- there may be a drink in it for you! )

I am a Jimmy Buffet, Jerry Jeff Walker, Jack Johnston kind of music girl and Paul likes his music ... a little louder (STP, Nickelback etc)
Sometimes I wonder what we have in common!! But we love to have fun and laugh and go off on adventures together. We're always up to do something fun and it looks like this cruise will be a blast!
We try to get our exercise in first thing in the am on a cruise so we have no guilt about eating and drinking and eating and drinking some more!!
