Event: Sail-A-Way Gathering
Meet: Deck 12 - Main Pool Bar - May 23, 2010 - Port Day Miami - Embarkation

About the event: OK People...After much deliberation and research it looks like the area for our Sailaway Party is going to be the Main pool on deck 12:
Deck 12 is where the two outdoor swimming pools are located on Celebrity Solstice, and they're surrounded whirlpools, ample loungers for those who love the sun as well as passengers who savor the shade, and bars that serve cool, refreshing drinks.
I did research all the bars on the ship and any interior bar is not an option. The idea of a sailaway party is to be at an exterior bar on the ship where we can soak up some sun and where shade is an option. For smokers...smoking is permitted on the port side of deck 12 and all sun decks. The starboard side is non-smoking. I think the Main pool on deck 12 is the best option and offers options for everyone's taste.
As far as time: Experience has taught me to start the Sailaway Party after boarding and prior to the lifeboat drill. The sailaway party will continue immediately following the lifeboat drill at our designated area (Deck 12 - Main Pool Bar).
